On August 20, 2025, President Daisuke Inoue, Professor Yen-Chun Liu, and five oral health and nursing students from The Junior College of Kanagawa Dental University in Japan visited the School of Nursing at Kaohsiung Medical University. Accompanying them was the Associate Professor Hsiu-Yueh Liu from the Department of Dental Hygiene.
Professor Hsin-Tien Hsu, Chair of the School of Nursing, presented commemorative gifts and facilitated academic exchanges and experience sharing with visiting teachers and students. Associate Professor Pei-Chao Lin and Assistant Professor Shih-Chun Lin introduced the immersive teaching classrooms, Chinese medicine nursing classrooms, nutrition laboratory classrooms, and the Multi-functional Simulation Experience Center to the visiting faculty and students. Additionally, Assistant Professor Hsun-Kuei Ko introduced the Basic Clinical Skills Center, highlighting our commitment to excellence in nursing education.
The visiting faculty and students were introduced to the diverse teaching methods and equipment used at the School of Nursing. This included experiences with wound makeup and models, disaster scene emergency first aid, pillow positioning techniques, acupuncture models and figures, as well as equipment for preparing disease-specific diets. This visit strengthened the collaboration between the faculty and students of the two universities and promoted international exchange and friendship.
